Kate earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May of 2017 from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Her initial interest in physical therapy began as a small child watching the unique bond that her mom, a physical therapist, formed with each one of her patients. That interest continued throughout college where she met, married, and graduated PT school with her husband who is a local resident of Kona. She moved to the Big Island in June 2017 and is lucky enough to now work alongside her husband, Klifford Hawkins, at Club Rehab. Her hobbies include hiking, painting, baking, reading, and traveling.
